At Griff’s IceHouse West, we offer a variety of programs from beginners looking to get into hockey or figure skating to adults looking to begin or improve their skating or hockey abilities. Experienced and accredited coaches, trainers and assistants are available in either 1-on-1 or group formats. Learn to Skate

Griff’s IceHouse West offers full, comprehensive skating and hockey skating instruction and training with best coaches in West Michigan.

The goal of our Learn to Skate program is to:

  • Provide a fun and safe skating experience for the beginner up to the more advanced skater
  • Teach correct technique of basic fundamentals
  • Promote health and physical fitness
  • Enable participants to develop the skills necessary to skate for fun or advance to competitive figure skating or hockey

Participants of all ages with any level of skating experience or capabilities will be evaluated and placed at the appropriate level based on the USFSA curriculum guidelines and standards.

Power Skate

The Power Skating program will provide you with comprehensive training from our coaches and trainers.

Adult Skills and Drills

Designed for all ages after high school, this program is for individuals of all abilities, from league play to drop-in hockey. Coached by our hockey director and 18-year veteran professional hockey player Kory Karlander, you will improve and get and edge on your game and abilities.
